Course Details
Four modules provide 8 to 10 hours of training, practice exercises, and simulations, with minimal
reading levels required. Modules employ ethnic, gender, age, and socioeconomic diversity. Student
Guides available as downloadable print-outs. Implementation Manual provides administrators with
valuable tips to enhance training and tracking.
Module 1: Interviewing
- Getting Organized: Child care, transportation, clothes, sleep, preparation.
- Last minute Details: Appearance, arrival, what to do.
- Beginning an Interview: Greeting, handshake, being seated, behavior.
- What to say: Positive attitude, correct information, brevity, calmness, manners, eye contact.
- Simulated Interview: Respond to interviewer's questions.
Module 2: Good Work Habits
- Importance of Good Work Habits: Introduction.
- Starting a New Job: Rules and policies, orientation.
