Paulette Bensignor
is a twenty first century artist, who works with the image of the landscape.
Though detailed and realistic in nature, her work encompasses much more.
The repetitive use of tiny lines and shapes are the real subjects of her work.
These lines assist the viewer to forget the overall immediate appearance of
the work and access one's inner self. At first glance, the viewer may think
they are seeing a real landscape, but, in fact, they are in for another experience.
Bensignor's technique, her interest in the environment and use of symbolism in
her work mark her as a truly modern unique artist. She has continuously
exhibited and won various awards for her work as a painter and printmaker.
She has shown primarily in the New York City and the Philadelphia areas
as well as Europe and Asia. Her work can be found in various public and
private collections worldwide. She lives and works in Pennsylvania with her husband and daughter.
