Biography of an important Carmel multi-media artist and author. Mora lived from 1876 - 1947 and was selected by The Book Club of California as one of the state's outstanding book illustrators in 1996. Bonnie Gartshore is a well known poet and feature writer for the Monterey county Herald.

Four tipped-in photo illustrations, three of which are by Alan McEwen. Hand set, letterpress printed in two colors using Bookman Text and Rustic Display type on Ingres Antique paper. Bound in foil-stamped dark red half leather and Mexican bark paper over boards. 2.5 x 2.125 inches. This is a numbered edition of 112 copies.

SOURCES OF HIS MUSE

Robinson Jeffers (1897-1962) was a famous and controversial California poet. His home in Carmel was built by himself out of local granite and is now open to the public as a museum.
The book was designed, printed and bound by Roger Hilleary. It includes a Jeffers postage stamp frontispiece and two tipped-in photo illustrations. 24 pages, 2 3/4 X 2 1/4 inches. Bound in Unryu paper over boards. Limited to 140 copies, of which 50 are available for sale by the publisher.
